He concludes that by 2012, 24 states would vote against gay marriage bans. Think about that real hard, GOP. Minnesota hops on (or off?) the bandwagon at 2013.

But WTF, how did Idaho and Wyoming beat us? I wonder if he didn’t look deep enough into the effect of major urban areas on public opinion. Isn’t it harder to oppress your neighbors than it is to oppress distant radical nihilist coastal homosexuals? And I know the United Church of Christ isn’t a huge institution, but I thought there was a significant number of (literally) religious progressives in MN, which would complicate Silver’s model.
